VI.Gameplay
1.Start Game
First, after entering the game, the user needs to create a player character (select an avatar and a name). Then the user needs to purchase his/her first port certificate, which costs ETH. After the purchase is completed, the user will receive the following:
Basic Production Line Factory
Initial Store
2.Collect materials
Collect resources in Port Cities: In the wilderness surrounding port cities, resource collecting points can be found for collecting raw materials. Heroes can be automatically dispatched for collecting, and multiple heroes can be sent to different collecting points simultaneously. The efficiency of collecting increases with the higher quality of the heroes. As the player's account level increases, more collecting heroes can be dispatched.
The rules for material collection are as follows:
The number of people collecting at the same resource point at the same time has a limit.
Each collection has a small probability of obtaining different special raw materials at the same resource point.
Collecting will consume the player's character/hero's energy. Once the energy is depleted, collecting cannot be performed. Energy will recover 1 point in every 2 seconds, a full recovery takes 1400s.
The number of resource point collection attempts has a limit, and after reaching the limited number, it needs 3600s to recover.
After the recovery, collection attempts will immediately restore, and resources can be collected again from that resource point.
Heroes dispatched for resource collecting / The total number of pets varies according to the player's account level.
3.Factory Production
Each factory allows users to run different production lines. Different ports can have different production lines, and the products that can be produced are determined by the factory level. The higher the factory level, the more expensive the produced goods.
The factory production has the following rules:
The factory starts with one production line, and as the factory upgrades, more production lines can be set-up by consuming Ocean.
You can choose the target product (Ocean) for production on the production line, and different products require one or more types of raw material.
After the factory is filled with raw materials, it will automatically produce goods. The produced goods will be stacked on the production line, and users need to manually collect them from the storehouse.
The number of goods that can be stacked on the production line has a limit, and once this limit is reached, production will stop.
You may dispatch a hero and a pet to the production line to improve production efficiency.
4.Shipbuilding at shipyards
All the ships in MetaLine origin can be produced at the shipyards. Shipyards in different ports can produce different types of ships, and the higher the shipyard level, the more types of ships can be built there.
The shipyard has the following rules for building ships: Initially, the shipyard has one dock, and each upgrade will add the number of docks.

5.Sea transportation
After the user produces a series of goods, they can be transported by ship. The goods need to be loaded on a ship, and after loading, the ship can move from one port to another. The rules of sea transportation are as follows:
For ships docked at the current port, you may choose to carry goods. If the ship is already loaded, the loaded cargo needs to be unloaded to the storehouse. There is an amount limit of the ship, after the limited number is reached, no more cargo can be loaded.
After loading the cargo, you can choose to depart from the current port and choose the port city within the sailing range as the destination.
After choosing the destination port, there must be enough food (wheat) in the storehouse, and the food will be automatically loaded from the storehouse on departure.
After departure, you’ll need to wait for the ship to arrive at the destination port.
After the ship arrives at the destination, you can choose to unload the cargo at the storehouse. If the port has not yet obtained a port license, it must be obtained first, and only after unlocking the storehouse can the cargo be unloaded.
Ships can dispatch heroes as crew members, and can also send pets to stay on the ship. Heroes and pets can improve the ship's transportation efficiency.
6.Product Sales
Goods can be sold in stores, both in local port stores and stores at other ports. Selling goods can earn Ocean. The stores are MetaLine Origin’s only system that generates Ocean. The rules for selling goods are as follows:
The store shelves have an initial capacity limit. Upgrading the store can increase shelf capacity and sales speed.
Goods can be moved from the storehouse to the store shelves for sale.
As time goes by, the goods on the shelf will be destroyed, and then generate Ocean base on their prices.
Output Ocean will be stored in the shop, and users need to collect it manually.
The prices of goods vary at different ports. The prices at local ports are very low, while the further the destination port is from the initial port, the higher the price of goods will be.
